I will describe this doll to the best of my ability, as I am no expert on Barbie dolls. I have researched her and believe her to be an American Girl Barbie from Europe. She has the standard pink body and straight legs and is wearing what I understand to be her original outfit 'Barbie in Bloom'. I understand that this hard-to-find doll was issued in the early 1970s to the European market as a re-issue of the 1966 American Girl, made with the 'Mod' 'pink skin'. The condition of her body is good for her age however her one arm does have some pink marks on it, but this is only noticable on close inspection (see photo). She is marked on her bottom "Midge c. 1962 Barbie 1958 by Mattel Inc Patented". Her face is typical of the plastic from the era and has faded to a yellow colour and appears blotchy around her ears There are two blemishes on her forehead, the one is covered by her fringe. Facepaint is still very good. Her hair is light ash blonde, cut into a bob. The fringe is short, I'm not certain if this is the length it was originally or not. I can see no missing plugs around the hairline. Barbie's dress is brightly coloured, but there are a few marks on it, (these look like they are surface marks, but I was not brave enough to wash it!) It still has the original woven label inside the neckline. She wears, blue wedge heel shoes, which read more
