Vintage American Trompe L'oeil by Sarah Coke King Plate

Incredibly realistic ceramic trompe l'oeil "plate of cookies" by Sarah Coke King. Well signed and extensively marked as shown. Sarah Coke King's work turns up periodically at luxe moving and estate sales in Dallas and I *think* she was a local Dallas artisan who very expertly made trompe l'oeil ceramics ca. the 1970s or 1980s. I wasn't able ot locate any defiinte info about her work, but persons interested in this art form might know something about her. Incredible work, in any case, as the pics show; some of the finest trompe l'oeil ceramics I'vve ever encountered. AGE: A vintage estate piece from a very luxe Dallas estate; it probably dates to ca. the 1970s or 1980s. SIZE: Measures about 6.5" in diameter and it approximately a "life-size" piece. NOTE: Please note this was some type of special commission piece and the name of the family that originally had the piece made is incribed on the underside in Sarah Coke King's handwriting (see pics). CONDITION: Excellent condition as shown in the pics. It is a vintage piece, about 25 - 35 years old and it does show a very light patina of age. However, NO chips, cracks, hairlines, fleabites, glaze crazing, re-glued sections, missing bits, etc. The pics are very honest and show the condition well and it is vintage/MINT by any type of reasonable standard and you won't be disappointed. NO RESERVE and a very low start and the pics tell the rest of the story, a very nice eBay opportunity.
