Vintage Ames Masonic Knights Templar Masonry Sword

This is a beautiful vintage Masonic Knights Templar Ceremonial Masonry Sword made by Ames Manufacturing Company which was in Chicopee, MA. Ames Manufacturing made swords for well over a 100 years. Supplying the Union Army and organizations like the Masons with quality swords. The sword is 35 1/2" inches long. The top of sword has a knights helmet with chain attached. The handle is either made of scrimshaw or ivory with a Maltese cross in the middle of a christian cross. The sword still has a pummel guard separating it from the scabbard so that no damage will happen to the sword. One one side of the sword at top reads Ames Sword Co., Chicopee, MA, under that a cross. On the blade is several masonic designs, flag, knights, temple, 2 knights jousting, 3 tents, palm trees and appears to be in Jerusalem. Other side of sword t is a night holding a christian flag, more floral designs and the owners name engraved on sword. Scabbard has night leaning up against tent, jeweled red cross on his chest, shield jeweled red cross next to him, sun and mountains in background with an axe at his feet. Also, shield with criss cross axes and spears. Underneath crown of life with red jeweled christian cross in the middle. More design in the middle of scabbard. At the bottom t is a shield red jeweled maltese cross, nights helmet and armor with axe. On the other side of scabbard the number 77 in two places on this side and 3 rings for chains. T is also no dents or divots in sword. Sword is in pristine condition. Apolishing would make this sword even more beautiful. Please see all pictures.
