This lock would make a lively addition to a lock collection! It is patented 1896, no manufacturer visible. It has the bear or lion's head added to the front with 2 screws, front and back plate and a middle part that holds the mechanism. Lock opens and closes easily. 2 keys provided. It is made of brass, the head part looks to be bronze or some alloy, nice patina.Lock measures 4" at its longest part and 2.75" at its widest part, it is 5/8" thick.I know very little about locks or this lock in particular, so please ask questions.
