Please take a look at this Very UNUSUAL Assortment of Antique/ Vintage Spiritual Medals, Crosses, Pin and Rosary! All of these Pieces came out of a single Local Florida Estate and are all in Good Vintage Condition unless otherwise noted. 1.) A small, antique sterling (marked "800" with another even smaller hallmark) Mother Mary medal. In Latin, it reads: "REGINA /INE LABE ORIGINALI CONCEPTA O.D.N." I'm pretty sure the rough translation is:"O MARY CONCEIVED WITHOUT SIN, PRAY FOR US WHO HAVE RECOURSE TO THEE" 2.) A tiny, vintage sterling Cross, 1" long (including the ring) by 5/8" wide. Marked "STERLING". Excellent vintage condition. 3.) A figural silvertone Madonna and Child Medal, heavy for its size. 1.125" x .5". Very Good Vintage condition 4.) A sterling, Mother Mary medal, 7/8" x 9/16". It reads: "O MARY CONCEIVED WITHOUT SIN, PRAY FOR US WHO HAVE RECOURSE TO THEE" Excellent vintage condition. 5.) An unusual medal depicting Jesus with the Sacred Heart and, on the reverse, Mary and the Christ Child with the words: "VIRGO CARMELO". Approximately 7/8" round. Unmarked, but possibly sterling. Good Condition with surface wear. 6.) Square, 5/8 x 1/2" St. Gerald Medal. It reads: "ST. GERALD PRAY FOR US". On the reverse, is a Crowned Mother Mary figure holding the Christ Child in her arms. Unmarked but might be sterling. 7.) A very old, teeny tiny, 1/2" wide, Order of the Eastern Star pin with blue, yellow, clear, green and magenta stones set in each point of the star. The center is white enamel with the gold letters "F A T A L" encircling the center. The fabric pin is slightly bent and t is some very mild corrosion on the pin mechanism itself. It is probably rose gold, but is not marked. 8.) A vintage, 1" Cross pendant. The goldtone Cross has a simple, classic Diamond-cut design. 9.) A vintage, round Pope Pius XII medal with "PIVS XII" and "800" on the front. (The 800 stands for European Silver) It is 5/8" across. Pope Pius XII was Pope from March 2, 1939 to October 9th, 1958. On the reverse is St. Christopher, staff in hand, carrying the Christ Child across the river. This is a VERY rare medal!! Very good condition. 10.) A very unusual, vintage, 7/8" x 9/16", shield-shaped medal depicting the Mother Mary seated and nursing the Christ Child. The reverse reads: "OUR NURSING MOTHER OF HAPPY DELIVERY PRAY FOR US" "ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA" NOTE: It appears that the silver did not completely fill the mold in the higher relief areas. T is some missing metal, so some of the finer details of Mary's face and the Child plus some of the flourishes are not visible. Fair to Good Condition overall. 11.) This last medal is a double one with an overall length of just shy of 2". It is not marked as to metal content. The top part is a shield type with a picture of a large anchor, the Sacred Heart, A comet, a Crowned Heart, and two Saints or possibly a king and queen standing atop a cloud in Heaven with a Star over them all. On the reverse, is one diagonal (Latin) word: "RICORDO" I believe the translation for this word is 'remember'. The lower medal is a 7/8" round depicting a nun praying. The front reads: (In Latin) S. MARIA DOMINICA MAZZARELLO" and the reverse reads: "CANONIZZAZIONE SANTA MARIA DOMENICA MAZZARELLO 24 GIUGNO 1951" Translated: Canonized St. Maria Dominica Mazzarello 24th June 1951. Good condition with surface wear evident. 12.) A delicate, vintage 24" Rosary (not including the extension and Crucifix) with matte finish black glass beads on a brass chain. T appears to be dirt or some minor pitting beneath Jesus figure and some of the silvertone top coat metal has worn away to reveal the brass beneath on both the figure and the back of the cross itself. Good overall condition. Everything I sell is either Pre-owned or Vintage and age related wear, such as minor scratches or dirt should be expected.
