I'm not even sure how to describe this piece. It is breathtaking. These are some of the most gorgeous purple amethyst I have ever seen. They have red and blue fire throughout them. The cross is huge. It is 3" long by 2" wide. Yes that's Inches! The cross is made of five 11 mm round cut amethyst and six 10 mm round cut amethyst. I really cannot say enough things about this cross. The only reason I'm selling it is because it's just too big for me to wear, but it would look gorgeous on the right person. The cross was custom made, so the gold is not marked, but my jeweler told me that it is 14K. And, it is heavy!! T is a ton of gold! The amethyst are close to perfect, as you can see in the close ups. Last spring, I saw a similar cross for sale in an antique jewelry store in New Orleans for $1700, and it wasn't as pretty as this one. I hope someone who can enjoy this piece and wear it will buy it because it needs to be worn. It is just so incredibly beautiful.
