..... 1880s to 1900s or so I believe. This is a section of an old quilttop with wonderful period fabrics removed from a quilt top that neededattention (piece measures 25" sq approx). Created by this quilter from the turn of the century by sewing 4 patch blocks with other blocks (the size of these are approx 4.5" sq) .....nice chocolate brown calicos, chrome orange or it is sometimes called cheddar, madder brown and red, , black and white shirting print as well as a lovely pink and white print. Nice symmetrical layout. Two small age marks to note about the size of an pencil eraser head /this is quilting weight 100% cotton of course. I am listing other fabric from this era ...check them out. This could be made into a lovely period wall quilt and framed for preservation of a textile treasure! or you could use for repairing old quilts or making reproduction quilts! US shipping $2.00
