The pearl is a magnificent white Australian-cultured button - 9mm in diameter - a specification renowned for beauty and sophistication. The pearl is complimented by a single Madagascar Achroite (colorless Tourmaline) - the rarest of the Tourmaline family. However, because Tourmalines are typically valued for their vibrant color, the colorless variety is really only prized among collectors. Those more amenable to the occult believe Tourmaline bears numerous therapeutic properties. The ring was constructed by the late Hans Köhler in 1974 - a gifted German jeweler renowned for incorporating uncommon gems and shapes in his jewelry (hence the colorless Tourmaline and the unsymmetrical nature). Therefore, this is a true collectors item, as Hans made a very limited quantity of his unique jewelry. It has been maintained meticulously, kept sealed in an airtight case, and appears flawless even today. The appraised value of the ring ring is $475 , and the appraisal report will be included with the ring.
