This is a beautiful, classic, antique 18k white gold pearl ring. The pearl is a magnificent white Australian-cultured button - 7mm in diameter - a specification renowned for beauty and sophistication. The pearl is complimented by twin Madagascar Achroites (colorless Tourmaline) - the rarest of the Tourmaline family. However, because Tourmalines are typically valued for their vibrant color, the colorless variety is really only prized among collectors. Those more amenable to the occult believe Tourmaline bears numerous therapeutic properties (colorless Tourmaline, in particular, is believed to bring its bearer closer to holy deities). The ring was constructed by the late Hans Köhler in 1974 - a gifted German jeweler renowned for incorporating uncommon gems in his jewelry (hence the colorless Tourmaline).
