Vintage antique 1950’s Murray Fire Chief pedal car truck, flat front, all steel.We are cleaning out the garage and shop-an ongoing project. My husband ran across the pedal car he had as a kid.It must of had some influence on him since he did end up spending some time as a Fireman and Fire Chief as an adult! He is finally ready to part with it and has written the following description:Remember back when…You were racing down the hallway or the sidewalk, bell ringing, responding in your shiny red Fire Chief’s car to that big imaginary fire, ready to save the day.Well, not you can relive those days (well, sort of). You can again be the proud owner of your very own pedal Fire Chief’s car, just like the one you had so many years ago.This is a well made Murray flat face all steel car with “ball bearing drive”, all original, just as I found it up in my attic. This must be from the mid 50’s as this was my car as a child and I was born in (gulp) 1949. It is all original, just the way it went up there, rust and all. The only thing I can find missing are the hub caps. I did take it apart and put new bolts in it and did a bit of repair to the inside of one of the front wheels (see photo).
