Up for auction is a vintage Copper Boiling Pot.The boiler is made of copper. The lid and handle hardware are made of another metal. This set is in fantastic condition with a great patina. The bottom of the boiler has some darkened areas from being used on one of the old wood stoves. The lid has some surface oxidation. T are several small dents in the lid and sides but no holes. The boiler measures 28 1/2 inches across the handles, 12 3/4 inches wide and 12 5/8 inches tall (without the lid). With the lid in place, this piece is about 17 inches. It comes complete with the original lid. The boiler has old style wooden handles and nice metal work. The handles show some wear from many years of use, but are still in great shape. The lid fits perfectly and has matching handles and design. This piece is stamped: CREAMCITY WARE MILWAUKEE. These antique boilers display quite well. They have many decorative uses. They make great planters for flowers on your deck or patio. Recently, they have become popular for holding fuel for the new corn or pellet stoves. They can also be great for storing firewood inside the house. This one would also be perfect for display in that vintage kitchen. Due to its dimensions this item is considered "oversize" by the US Postal Service.
