PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING....Up for bid is a...VINTAGE ESKIMO ELECTRIC PEDESTAL FLOOR FAN...Not sure of age but if I had to guess 50s. maybe older??? These are getting harder to find. This would be great for a collector or someone who wants to clean it up and make it look nice for t home decor. The tag on the motor has made by Bersted mfd. co. Fostoria Ohio & Toronto Canada Model 1005J-80. The blade dia. is 10" the cage is 11". It has a adjustment screw to set the height of the fan. T is a chrome shaft that gos up and down into tha base tupe. The highest it will go from floor to top of cage is 57" the lowest it will go is 40". The base is HEAVY CAST IRON and is 10" dia. The motor has a nice chrome cover on the back part of the motor. The total weight of the fan is a little over 13lb. so after packing total weight should be about 15lb. The fan will be disassembled and packed carefully when shipped. Now for the over all condition it is in very good shape for its age t are some things that will need to be done to it to make it work. It does need a new on off switch the cord is not bad I'll let you decide if you want to replace it. The blades turn free but could use cleaning. I was told before the switch went bad it did work but not sure if only one speed or more. It does not appear to be a oscillating fan at least I don' read more
