This Auction is for TWO Vintage Great Lakes Whirlaway reels, both in perfect working order. I have tested them both. Unfortunately, the rods are no w to be found. The Brownish colored reels labeling on the glass is mostly worn off but I think it used to say Great Lakes Imperial, it is stamped Great Lakes Products Inc. Marysville, Mich. The Black one is stamped Whirlaway Great Lakes Products Inc. Detroit, Mich. on the lip of the metal. THE REELS ARE A LITTLE DIRTY WITH SOME SCRATCHS AND WEAR, BUT THEY ARE IN GREAT SHAPE!!!! PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS I HAVE POSTED AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER THEM. PLEASE EXCUSE THE GLARE FROM THE LIGHTS AND FLASH. I TRIED TO PROVIDE NUMEROUS ANGLES TO VIEW ALL SIDES. I AM NOT AN "EXPERT" IN FISHING TACKLE, BUT I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH AND HAVE DONE MY BEST TO IDENTIFY AND DESCRIBE THE ITEM(s) CORRECTLY. All of my current auction items came from an elderly gentleman’s tackle boxes and fishing gear that I took in trade for work. I am not an expert on any of this, and have made NO attempts to clean the items other than lightly wiping them down with a damp cloth. I figured I would leave the cleaning to the experts, who would know what to use to best clean them. Good luck bidding.
