The star is actually the area between the black. The top measures 80 x 65 inches. The squares are 8x8 inches. It is all hand sewn. The fabrics are thin. The light blue looks like polyester. I couldn't see any holes till I held it up to the light. T are about 8 areas that have very small holes. The tan fabric pictured has a small stain and 2 little holes. Nice bold pattern.
