For your consideration is a vintage (antique) 1940's hula lamp. From my research it seems "Dodge" might have been the manufacturer. The material which makes up the body seems to be made of a lighter metal than the base. The hula skirt appears to be original but I can't tell for sure. The shade seems to be added later but never-the-less is made of transparent fibrous material that gives off a mellow-yellow to mica type glow. The skirt material matches the material on the rim of the shade. The shade also depicts a harmonious tropical scene with palm trees and ocean. The finial is a metal pineapple. The knob in the back turns the light on and off but the cord is very old and brittle so it will need to be rewired. Through my research the girl should wiggle or "hula" but only the light goes on. I am not a gear-head or electric guy but perhaps the buyer might be able to restore the "hula" in her. The lamp is nonetheless desirable to look-at lit up and has a "bohemian" or "retro" feel to it. The lamp will be carefully packed and shipped with FedEx. Thanks for looking - No Reserve. I DIDN'T POSTER THE QUESTION BUT SOMEBODY ASKED IF THERE WAS A PLATE ON THE BOTTOM AND THE ANSWER IS YES!
