You are bidding on a large hand painted, rectangular, antique, Capodimonte dresser box with a hinged lid/cover made in Italy most likely during the early 20th Century. It has the underglaze crest and fig leaves on the bottom (pic 3). This box was aquired from our grandmother upon her passing. Box is brass hinged with a cover and stands 4 ¾ inches high and measures 7 ½ inches wide by 4 ¼ inches deep and all of its Images are executed in relief (not a flat surface). The lid is domed, and features 2 cherubs and a child frolicking in a vineyard. The front and back of the box have identical expanded scenes that include 4 children frolicking in a vineyard. The sides each have matching images of a single child in a vineyard. The box is in Very Good condition without any cracks, scratches, or repairs, however t is a chip on the backside w the lid and box come together when the box is open. This chip is not visible from the front nor is it visible when the box is open. The relief images and accents are intact without any signs of wear. The hinge is in perfect working condition but can use a cleaning. Please refer to the photographs for further details. Because this is considered a used item, t is no returns on this item nor is t a warranty expressed/implied. Shipping will be determined at the end of the auction and should be between $15-$20 in the Continental U.S. and will be well packed with packing foam.
