THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL, VINTAGE (antique?), WOOD CASED MANTLE CLOCK, OR SHELF CLOCK, WITH GLASS FRONT DOOR AND BRASS MOVEMENT WITH CHIME GONGER AND BELL - FOR RESTORATION OR DECORATION, as shown! See all 12 images below including close-ups, AND see the 12" ruler in images for size perspective! Measures approximately 9" wide by 5.5" deep at the base, and stands about 12" tall - WEIGHS A VERY HEAVY 6 POUNDS NOT PACKED FOR SHIPPING! CASE is all solid hardwood with front glass door and brass movement! The hardwood clock case is in excellent condition. I have listed this clock as "not working" although I have not tried to wind it, so there's actually a chance that it could work - No key AND no pendulum! The front glass door has no chips or cracks and the latch is ok, but the hinge on the brass frame is broken so the door could easily fall off! Very nice looking antique clock hands which might be mismatched (?). Has a removable wood back panel door ! The exposed dial face is paper and I believe there is another dial face behind it but probably in poor condition. ALL BRASS MOVEMENT, WITH A CHIME GONG AND BELL - BOTH OF WHICH MANUALLY HAVE VERY PLEASANT SOUNDS - I cannot find a maker name or logo anywhere on the movement! In as-acquired condition and sold As-Is! SO NEEDS WORK BY A CLOCK EXPERT! STILL A SPECTACULAR OLD MANTLE CLOCK THAT DISPLAYS NICELY AS-IS - Very light wear to hardwood case with a couple of small pieces of veneer trim missing at the edge on the back side as shown; the brass framed glass front door is fine with no chips or cracks with tarnishing to the brass frame; the glass door hinge is broken and needs repair; the exposed paper dial face would need to be replaced; the brass movement, chime gonger, and bell appears to be complete and manually sound fine; no key and no pendulum; NOT TESTED AND MAY OR MAY NOT WORK; slightly dusty inside and could use a good cleaning; overall in good or better VINTAGE (antique?) condition! !!
