First, let me say that I know nothing about this thing so please ask questions if you need to. This is a very old slicer for meat, bread, cheese, etc... I have had it for 25 years but I don't know how old it is. It measures about 15 inches and the wood tray is about 8 x 12 inches. It is tight with no wobble and t is no rust. The handle is marked 'Ginge' which I assume is the brand/maker. The frame is black steel (iron?), the tray is some type of wood and the handle is black wood set on a metal rod so that it rotates with the hand as the handle is pulled down. When you drop the handle to start the cutting action you hear that distinct 'scrape' as the metal blade rakes along the frame. In other words, the action is true and hasn't been warped with time. Reminds me of when I was a kid at the general store as they sliced meats. This also works well as a countertop rack for recipe books, which is what I used it for. Please leave feedback so I know it has arrived safely and I will do the same. Thanks.
