This is an antique Wedgwood Jasperware cream pitcher in the desirable cobalt blue (dark blue) color with white decoration. It is impressed WEDGWOOD ENGLAND and there is the number 42 and S R S. The piece measures about 4" high and 3 1/2" across the top from handle to tip of spout. It is in very good vintage condition with expected wear. There is a small roughness on spout and the inside has a small bit of discoloration at the bottom of the pitcher, consistent with the age of the piece, but nothing readily visible. Overall, it looks as if the piece was hardly ever used. See photos for best details. This would make a lovely gift for someone or a fine addition to your own collection of Wedgwood and antique English pottery. Please check our other listings for more great items...thank you!
