Anton Wingen Jr. has always been one of my favorite Solingen makers and I have collected their knives for years. Anton Wingen Jr. ceased operations and closed their doors in the early 1990's. However, for nearly 120 years they were one of Solingen's finest makers and produced some knives of incredible quality. In addition to their own high-quality knives, Wingen also made knives under contract for other top makers including Kershaw. This example is a beautifully made stag-handled hunting knife that's still in its original box and remains in mint condition. The knife has never been used, carried, or sharpened and is flawless. The forged blade was beautifully executed and features an integral guard. The stag handles are of exceptional quality and just gorgeous. They are free of any cracks or chips and were very nicely fitted. The blade is 3-7/8", while the knife measures 8-1/8" overall. The sheath is the original and is in perfect condition with no problems at all. A beautifully crafted knife from a very desirable maker!!
