This lovely and colorful vintage Dresden Plate quilt is entirely handmade. The plates were made mainly from feedsack prints and the off white area is unbleached muslin. The applique work was done with tiny stitches and it is in excellent and probably unused condition. The only thing that I have found to report are a few very light tea colored storage spots. I am selling it in as found condition so I have not tried to remove the spots. It is clean and odor free. It was hand tied with white yarn but there are a few lines of hand quilting also. The backing is aqua cotton fabric and there seems to be a thin batting, it is probably a flannel sheet, they were often used at that time for thin batting. The center seam in the backing was even sewn by hand and the binding was stitched down by hand.
