Here is a collection of old 1960s asbestos floor tiles, serving to market the Armstrong Excelon line of asbestos floor tiles in the 1960s. There are about 40 sample tiles. These 3"x3" samples were given to prospective customers so they could decide which pattern of floor tile they wanted. These salesman tile samples marketed both the 1/8" and 1/16" gauge thickness tiles. They all have similar writing on the back except for the pattern/color and thickness which differs. Folks are having to spend a lot to abate when flooring gets old and needs replacement. OSHA and EPA regulations become an issue. Though floor tiles pose no health risk under regular circumstances and proper management, asbestos abatement operations do render these floor tiles friable, or airborne from time to time. These tile samples make great conversation displays or for analytical QC. Please contact me for any questions thanks for looking.
