Up for auction:WoW ! Fabulous art deco amber,bakelite necklace.Unique in design and style centre flat beads measures 2 5/8" x 1 3/4",the next two graduate to 2" x 1 1/2".and the next flat ones graduate smaller,from t are the small round beads,20 in all that attach to the C clasp.The clasp is strong and works great.When worn the centre flat bead fits perfectly between chest bone.Approx. 10" in length.Each flat stone looks like it has black moss inside them.Also some in the smaller beads.Outstanding rootbeer, amber color.Condition is very good with some minor wear from use.Tested by rubbing,when rubbed slight smell.Weight and sound are good,but when tested with 409 I get no discoloration.Could be lacquered.Pictures are taken with flash,and with out.We are not jewelry experts,and are trying to describe this piece as best as we can.We are selling this piece on behalf of an estate,so all sales are final.Please feel free to ask questions.Please check out other bakelite necklace we have up for auction now.Don`t miss out on these items,they are really nice.This necklace measures approx. 18" to 20" when pulled out straight.You can not pull this necklace out straight because of the centre chunky pieces.We measured the 10" by putting the necklace together,from clasp to end of middle chunky bead. Please check out our pictures,we added two more,that w taken out side.We have been asked some questions on this piece.This is a very impressive,outstanding necklace.I am not a jewelry expert,but I believe this to be amber,and could be bakelite also.As you can see from the pictures t is black moss looking material inside the amber.Beautiful patina and color.
