VINTAGE ART DECO Bakelite Clock Hammond Synchronous Black Runs Great! Calendar Description Hammond Synchronous Electric Calendar Alarm Clock This stunning clock is in working condition. It has been plugged in for a week and kept time. The alarm functions. The clock measures 5" tall including the feet, 5" wide and about 2.5" deep. The clock features a chrome rim around the face and two chrome bun feet. The black finish on the clock, which I believe to be bakelite, has retained much of its shine. The clock has a day of the week and the date on the bottom part of the face. This is one of those clocks that you have to spin the knob to get it started. There is some adhesive residue that is on the back of the clock which can be seen in the photos. I've been hesitant to attempt to remove it since I'm not 100% sure of its material. The cord is also fraying, but as I mentioned it was plugged in for a week and worked. I believe this was manufactured in the 1920's or early 1930's. See the photos and super-size for greater detail.
