Fabulous unmarked Czech Art Deco necklace. The dropper is highly ornate gilt-brass filigree. It is set with speckled blue Lapis glass cabs and small accent cabs, matching the beads in the necklace. The necklace has gorgeous stripy blue glass beads of various shapes and sizes. Also tiny gilt-brass beads, round filigrees and two fab large oval filigree beads. There are three dangles from the dropper - with various stripy blue glass and brass beads - including tiny glass ovals. The glass is silky smooth, with that special vintage gleam that old beads acquire over many years. Condition; the glass beads and dropper are superb. Two of the round filigree beads are a little squashed, one of the oval filigrees is slightly squashed. There are very old 'Home-made' repairs to the thread - it has been firmly re-knotted to the dropper, as have the three dangles. There may well have been five dangles once. Fortunately the three that are present could be re-arranged to be symmetrical again. These repairs are quite secure. Laid flat it is 22 inches long in total. It is an 'over-the-head' style (no clasp), the necklace part is 16 inches flat, if you could open it up it would be 32 inches long. Large filigree beads - 1.25 inches x 0.5 inches. First small dropper - 1 inch. Main dropper - 2 inches x just over 1.5 inches. Longest dangle is 3.5 inches. read more
