Vintage Art Deco FIREBALL RADIUM Alarm Clock by Ingraham. The square black body is 5" across. The dial is 3-3/4" square with the small alarm dial under the 12:00 position. T is a nice gold colored accent band around the dial. The name "FIREBALL RADIUM" is prominently displayed above the 6:00 position. The art deco style numerals are thicker and stand above the face of the dial. Each of the stylish black hands has a strip of "luminous" material down the center of each one. I believe the material has long since given up its ability to glow in the dark. The alarm knob on the top of the case is bright brass and functions well. The clock itself does not run. It seems like the mainspring is not winding, may be a simple problem of a loose connection on the winding stem. The clock does not rattle like t are any loose parts inside. All of the knobs, keys and nuts are in place. T are four patent numbers on the back: D 85,357 (1907), 1,744,524 (1930), 1,858,262 (1932) and 1,860,353 (also 1932). The back also indicates "other patents pending", so I think the 1932 - 1933 time frame is correct. The clock sits well on a shelf and the imposing black and gold deco design with that fabulous name "FIREBALL RADIUM" jumps out at you. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Allow 10 days for all checks and money orders to clear prior to shipping. I ship USPS Priority Mail. Please ignore the Domestic Shipping Wizard on ebay which calculates your cost - I can't figure out a way to turn this off but any calculations made by this will be incorrect. Again, I usually ship Priority Mail only and will calculate your shipping cost when your address is received. However, I will ship USPS Ground if you request it. I will also check to see if the Flat Rate will save you money if you want - this depends on size. This way you pay EXACT cost only. Insurance is mandatory on this item and t will be a $1.00 packing and handling fee.
