Up for your viewing is a beautiful vintage FOREST GREEN HARLEQUIN TEAPOT. Harlequin was produced by Homer Laughlin and was sold in the Woolworth Co. Stores. The style of Harlequin is pure Art Deco. As with Fiesta the pattern consist of a band of rings around the teapot and on the bottom. You will notice, in my photos, t are NO RINGS ON THE LID OF THE TEAPOT . I have a friend who is quite the expert on vintage pieces, such as this, and says this is an early production piece. It is in very fine condition. T is one very very small flea bite on the inside of the top of the teapot w the lid fits. T are two very very fine scratches, hardly can be noticed, but I must mention them. The pot appears to have never been used. It is 10 inches from the end of the spout to the end of the handle. It measures 4 inches tall. Good luck to my bidders and thank you for looking. Please note that I have added two photos one of the flea bite and one of the scratch. I have had a question on the fact of no rings on the lid. Today I have DIRECTLY CALLED HOMER LAUGHLIN CHINA CO. in NEWELL, W. VA. Mr. Connelly has told me t were NO revisions to this teapot during the time of production. The best that he could see was that all teapots HAD rings on the lids. His ONLY ANSWER to t being NO RINGS was that t could have been a very HEAVY GLAZE on the lid. I have checked with a loupe and still cannot see any rings. I am sorry I cannot give any accurate answers to this question. I NEVER MEAN TO MISREPRESENT ANYTHING I SELL ON EBAY.
