Vintage Art Deco large enamel and glass bead buckle by Max Neiger. The enamelling suggests Egyptian revival but the green glass stones have Chinese characters on them. Neiger bros made items under both of these themes but this one seems to have a mixture of both. There is some loss to the enamel but it is so brightly coloured and busy I really don't think it detracts and adds a certain charm to such an original piece. Measures 8.3 x 6 cms.
