Collectible vintage Art Deco Bedroom Suite designed by Norman Bel Geddes Original Sturdy Enameled Yellow Metal with Black Enameled Metal and Wood Trim Manufactured by Simmons Sept. 1934
Simmons Label is inside dresser and nightstand drawer and headboard 6 Drawer Dresser with Cupboard Door with a Round Beveled Mirror with Partial Black Framing on a Detachable Stand 6 Drawer Vanity with Tall Detachable Oval Mirror with Partial Black Framing and a Removable Glass Shelf and White Reupholstered Padded Oval Vanity Stool Bedside Stand with 1 Drawer and a Cubby Double Bed Head Board and Foot Board with Railings Good to Very Good Condition with small nicks and scratches *Head Board has three screw holes for a Reading Lamp that is missing *Railings have many scratches *Wooden Grooved Bases could use some minor black touch up paint in a few places *Vanity Stool has been reupholstered *Footboard has minor scraping on top rim *Round mirror -- one screw is missing w the mirror attaches to the stand in the back, but this is obscured from view and usefulness is not affected. Hardware is Black Wood with brushed metal centers Owner inherited set from aunt who related that this design dressed the showroom window of Macy's during the New York World's Fair in 1939 Appraisal in 1997 described this set as "unique and dramatic" with Modest Appraisal Value at $4,000 Shipping: The total weight of the nine pieces is approximately 400 pounds.
