This auction is for a vintage art deco 830 silver (83% silver as opposed to sterling silver which is 92.5%) wood-lined cigarette box. It is in very good condition with no major scratches, dings, or dents. It is engraved on the top L?N and along the front with the date 24-4-53. The lid closes tightly and hinge mechanism works perfectly. The box is 6 3/8" x 3 5/8" by 1 1/4" tall. See the last picture for the mark on the underside (830 S, G.H.). My best guess is that this box is Scandinavian in origin. It weighs 7.74 gross troy ounces (the bottom is not sterling, and the inside lining of the bottom half is wood). Buyer pays actual shipping costs. T is a $2.00 handling charge. Insurance is optional but recommended.
