This is a gorgeous set of 4 vintage coffee cups, saucers and a sugar bowl made by Victoria China Czechoslovakia. This delicate little set is a beautiful design of lustrous orange and pearl stripes and edged with gold. The cup handles are also gold-coloured. From my research of the makers' marks on this set, it appears it was made sometime between 1918-1939. Considering their probable age, they are in very good condition with no chips or cracks, apart from one thin hairline crack on the bottom of one of the cups. The crack does not appear on the inside of the cup and the cup is watertight. The colours on this set are very striking and bright, although due to its age, there is some wear on the gold handles and edging, as well as on the saucers where the black lines delineate the orange and pearl stripes. I have tried to show all of this in the photos. In addition to the Victoria China Czechoslovakia mark on the bottom of each piece, there are numbers stamped on each (shown in photos). On the cups, three are stamped with '216' in orange and one is stamped with '298' in black. On the saucers, two are stamped in orange with '283', one is stamped in black with '216', and I am unable to clearly decipher the fourth, however, it is possibly '283' again.
