T his massive clear glass with black glass interior bands is most probably either Murano glass , or a Scandinavian piece by Vicke Lindstrand . This striking artisan created vase measures 32 cm tall and is 8cm wide at the bottom and 5 ½ cm at the spout, and weighs a full 4 lbs. The fact that it is unmarked makes it more probable that it is of Italian origin; Murano glass commonly has the maker’s mark attached to the glass pieces in the form of a sticker. However, it is very possible that the piece had the acid etched makers signature buffed off the piece; the piece exhibits considerable age, reflected in the scuffs and wear marks to the piece’s bottom. Please feel free to email me with any information you might have on this beautiful piece of mid-century art glass. Due to my lack of full knowledge on this vase I am listing it at a low price, with no reserve. This auction represents a wonderful opportunity to the knowledgeable buyer to add this exceptional piece to their collection. Good luck bidding! The vase is made by Magnor Glassverk in Norway in the 50's or 60's. Propably designed by Eystein Sandnes. Magnor-glass was not signed, only sticker-marked.
