You are bidding on an Art Nouveau Art Glass Vase in the Peloton style. This is Thick glass in an amethyst color with deeper raised Amethyst threads of glass that are embedded into the body around vertically and horizontally criss crossing in an irrigular pattern. William Kralik patented Peloton Art Glass in 1880 but peloton glass was also made by Steuben or Stevens & Williams and R. Williamson and Company known as Teplitz glass. Though Teplitz lines were vertical only and not crossed. I cannot tell you which made this but I'm thinking Stevens & Williams since the glass is thick. The Kralik glass I've handled has always been thin while Stevens & Williams is thick. T is no pontil or press lines. Purchased at an antique store in Ottawa, Il. Stands 9 3/4" high with a 5 1/2" diameter. No chips, cracks or breaks. T is a sharp line on the bottom but it is an extension to one of the threaded lines on the side. Thank you. You may bid now.
