This listing is for a Vintage ART signed Dragon and Pagoda Goldtone and Faux Jade Necklace and CLIP Earrings Set. Please view all of the photos as they are part of the description. This set is in excellent vintage condition. I asked the Jewelry Board for help because I knew this set is something special. It has been confirmed as a book piece. It is listed on page 37 of the book by Fred Rezazdeh, "Costume Jewelry: A Practical Handbook and Value Guide". His description, "An exceptional design with Oriental motif inspired by antique Chinese jewelry which normally combined jade and high carat gold". He priced it at $200.00 - $250.00. This is a fascinating set done in a shiny goldtone metal and faux jade. In the center of the necklace sits a fairly large dragon with it's tail wrapped around and looks to be breathing fire. The Dragon measures approximately 2 1/4 inches across and 1 1/2 inches tall. The goldtone Pagoda piece measures 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches wide. The piece below the dragon with the bugle and round beads and metal hanging pieces measures 2 1/2 inches long. The total length of the pendant is a whopping 6 1/4 inches long, 6 1/2 inches with the connecting ring. The chain measures 20 inches long and the clasp is in proper working order.
