is a really neat and rare collectable from the 1960's. This ashtray is from Jilly's Saloon which was located at 256 West 52nd Street in New York City . The ashtray is about 4 1/4" in diameter and stands about 2" high.The restaurant was frequented by Frank Sinatra when he visited New York City. In fact, The owner of the restaurant was Ermenigildo Rizzo, nicknamed "Jilly" (May 6, 1917 - May 6, 1992) who was a long time friend and bodyguard to Sinatra. Can't you just see Frank Sinatra sitting at Jilly's having a drink while flipping his ashes into this ashtray. Who knows, he might of used this exact one.Jilly's nightclub and restaurant, at this address, was torn down during the 1970's and replaced with Dean Martin's restaurant, Dino's. The structure at this address now houses a restaurant named the Russian Samovar. What a neat collectable and talking piece for your coffee table.
