Vintage Atwater Kent Breadboard Model 10 C 1924

we have a very nice vintage Atwater Kent breadboard tube radio Model 10C manufactured in 1924. Atwater Kent began business by manufacturing electrical items and parts for automobiles. In 1922 the Atwater Kent Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania began to market component parts for radios and the first of their large line of breadboards. By 1924 the company produced the first of their cabinet sets. The Pooley Company and the Red Lion Cabinet Company were a couple of the several furniture manufacturers who made radio cabinets for Atwater Kent, according to The Collector's Guide to Antique Radios, Second Edition by Marty and Sue Bunis. The dark brown finish wood base is 29 inches long and 10 inches deep and the overall height of the radio with components is 7 inches. This breadboard was designed to be mounted in a cabinet. T are some minor scratches and marks and signs of aging but it is in overall good condition. The chassis appears to be complete, the wiring is complete with 2 labels on the bottom and one label on the attached cord. All knobs are in place and complete and work freely. All parts of the chassis are in good condition. T is some minor corrosion on the brass tube sockets and some dark age spots on the coils. All 5 tubes are included and light up but are untested. This radio is in overall good condition as we found but is untested and sold "AS IS".
