Vintage AUMAN 4 1/2" POTTERY VASE Classic GOLDEN Color We are offering this beautiful example to a classic DOROTHY AUMAN Pottery VASE mad of white MITCHFIELD CLAY with a CLEAR GLAZE fired to a GOLDEN perfection. The vase is in very good to excellent condition. There is a 'Glaze Crack' under the neck caused during the firing which over time has caused a small chip. There are no cracks or 'crazing' that we could see. As was a common flaw in wood fired kilns there are 2 brown 'specks' that were made by flying wood chips as it was heated in the kiln. This mid 1900s vase is a great addition to your North Carolina pottery collection. It measures 3" across the base, 4 1/2" at the widest part of the body, 3 1/2" across the top and 4 1/2" tall. We have several pieces of North Carolina pottery if you would like to look them up. Please take a look at the attached pictures and judge for yourself.
