Vintage Casino Chip. In 1920 gambling was illegal in the Bahamas. The Bahamian Club was on the western outskirts of Nassau. At that time it was an extremely exclusive establishment with ties to organized crime. Its casino was open for only about three months every year in the height of the tourist season and then only to a very restricted clientele.
