Items included in this auction:

CASE - Measures 21" x 12" x 3-3/4" and is in fair condition, with some staining and a split on the left bottom side. It has a white and gold marbled exterior and a gold satin lining, which has some discoloration, as can be seen in the photos. The silver tone hinges and clasp are in very good condition, and still work. The gold ribbon on the left side that originally prevented the case top from going back too far has come apart. The metal pieces that held the items in place are loose underneath the lining. It is marked "Arch Amerith - Vanity Articles For The Dressing Table" on the interior of the case. On the cardboard bottom of the case is written in pencil "From Oliver To Flossie December 25, 1928".

BAKELITE/CELLULOSE BUFFER WITH CASE - Measures 4-7/8" x 1-1/8" at its widest part x 1-1/4" from base to top, when closed. The pale chamois color buffer part is nearly perfect, with a tiny fold on one corner. The pull on cover is translucent honey color, and is shaped like a boat bottom. Appears unused in excellent condition.

BAKELITE/CELLULOSE BUTTON HOOK - Measures 7-1/16" long x 15/16" at its widest part. Both metal portion and Bakelite handle are in excellent condition.

BAKELITE/CELLULOSE GLASS JAR WITH LID - Measures 4-1/4" diameter at its widest part x approximately 3" high with lid on. The jar is made of attractive clear amber glass in a tapered octagon shape. The domed pull on lid is made of Bakelite and has the black initial "F" in the center. Excellent condition.

BAKELITE/CELLULOSE HAIRBRUSH - Measures 8-11/16" long x 3-1/4" wide. The bristles are nearly perfect, and the Bakelite is in absolutely beautiful condition! Has the black initial "F" on the back of the brush.

BAKELITE/CELLULOSE SHOE HORN - Measures 6-3/8" long x 1-7/16" at its widest part. Excellent condition.

SILVERTONE METAL HAIRBRUSH - Measures 10-1/8" long x 3-3/8" at its widest part. Has an intricate embossed floral and fruit design surrounding a small monogrammed oval. Bristles are in a wood base that is coming loose. Fair used condition, has some rust and pitting. Bristles appear used but intact.

CLEAR PLASTIC HAIRBRUSH - Measures 10" long x 3-3/4" at its widest part. Clear plastic body and handle with an Art Deco floral and diamond design. The back is a high quality mirror with a recessed leaf pattern and a small domed oval mirror in its center that duplicates your reflection. The bristles are well worn with the outer ones missing, and are set in a tan metal base. This brush is heavy! It is in fair condition, with some crazing on the clear plastic. The mirrored back is in good condition with only a few pinpoint spots, a couple of dark areas on the engraved leaves, some small spots of residue which may come off, and a couple of light scratches underneath.

It would be hard to find all these pieces individually. This is a lovely group of vanity items, and the sentiment pencilled on the back of the case "From Oliver To Flossie December 25, 1928" makes it even more desirable! It would be a great addition to your collection!
