THESE PINS/BROOCHES ARE PART OF A COLLECTION OF JUST HORSE RELATED COSTUME JEWELRY THAT I PURCHASED AT AN ESTATE SALE. Up for auction is a carved Bakelite? 2 1/2" brooch in the very desireable root beer/ caramel color. The workmanship of this pin is outstanding. The bridle is black with gold highlights/ the reins are a gold color loops. I put a question mark after Bakelite because I tested with 409 and it did turn a color, but it was pinkish and not yellow. Let me know if anyone has the answer to that one. Locking C clasp works perfectly. CHECK MY OTHER LISTINGS FROM THIS SAME COLLECTION! Many of the items I place for auction have been a part of other peoples lives so unless I state they are in mint condition they will show a natural amount of aging just like we do. Obvious imperfections such as chips, missing stones, broken clasp etc. will be mention in the description. If I miss one, I offer a full refun, minus shipping AND item must be returned exactly as it was when shipped. You MUST contact me within three day of receipt of the item. If paypay is used I will ship the same day of auction unless it closes after the post office is closed. Otherwise it will be the next morning. Most of my items are estate, tag or yard sale purchases so I will pass on ly information given me at time of purchase. I am in the beginning stage of jewelry collecting so need all the help I can get. Never would I intentionally deceive anyone about the age, value or condition of a piece. My jewelry reference books are always close at hand and the internet is a great source of reference. I have not yet (I'm learning) mastered the correct terminolgy to use when describing the pieces. Hopefully my photos will show the good points as well as the flaws. Please feel free to ask any questions or correct me if I'm wrong about something. Extra photos upon request.
