Banko style Japanese figure wall pockets are very characteristic. This round hanging wall pockets has many of the same features like unglazed face and hands, with the bright glazed clothes. The peasant lady has a basket on her back and is walking among green bushes. You can see the faint shape of a roof behind her. The overall background glaze is a pretty blue. The pocket could be hung on the wall with a decorative hook or suspended on a chain to show both sides of the wallpocket. The other side is a cottage, valley, & mountain scene. I also see a road with a bridge. It is all done in shades of blue and navy. This is an unusual wall pocket and a nice addition to any collection. The condition is good with no cracks or crazing. I see one tiny spot with out glaze on the bottom edge . Inside is an impressed Made In Japan mark on each side. I have other great wall pockets in my inventory. This item will be shipped from Texas. It can be combined with other items shipped from Texas to save on postage.
