Vintage Barbie/Lilli Clone Doll ~ MISS SEVENTEEN in "Champagne Waltz" FashionThis is a very cool and hard-to-find doll in one of her original fashions! "Miss Seventeen" was produced by the Marx toy company in 1961. They had bought the German Bild Lilli mold, and the doll was actually made in Hong Kong (she has markings on her back indicating that). She was made in two sizes, this 15" size, and an 18" size, and was marketed as "Miss Seventeen, a Beauty Queen" in a box wearing a swimsuit and cape. This gal is the 15" doll, and has a hair color between ash blonde and a sort of auburn. She has no major damage anywhere--these dolls are made of a thin hard plastic and have seams. There looks to be some glue residue here and there at seams, and a bit of surface soil. She has all her fingernail paint and most of the toenail paint. She holds poses fine. Probably could use re-stringing, as the head could be tighter. But it does stay in position, just be cautious with handling. She comes with her HTF "Champagne Waltz" original Miss Seventeen outfit! This was one of 12 fashions you could buy separately for her.
