Vintage Barbie ~ BLACK MAGIC Ensemble (#1609) ~ NMIBThis lovely outfit is said to have been Barbie-creator Ruth Handler's favorite. This is a great example of an outfit that is hard to find in excellent condition, let alone near mint in package! I am calling this NEAR-Mint because when I received it, the original cello was gone, and the items (which were all there) were not tacked in with the threads, although the original threads were mostly there. The clothes have never been on a doll, I am sure, as the cape is still very crisp (a little creasing of the ribbon edging, but no damage), and the sheath was still on the cardboard dress form. Please view the photos closely!I carefully placed the gold dimple clutch, booklet and the cape with the old thread exactly as it had been originally. Because the old thread was missing from the area for the sheath and gloves, I re-tacked them in place with a new thread, and placed the shoes in a new little cello, then replaced the cello over the whole card.This box is in good displayable condition, although it has wear. There are a couple of torn-off places on the back, and wear and tear to the corners of the box (see pics). The original "Black Magic" label and price tag is there! The graphics are great, and the colors are nice and vibrant.Just a very cool outfit to have in your collection! Display read more
