This auction is for vintage Mattel Barbie Floating Gardens Set #1696 (1967).This is a very beautiful set and it is in excellent near mint condition! This set is also complete! The beautiful watercolor floral jersey dress is in fabulous condition. The colors are very bright and vibrant! There are no spots or stains on the dress. The red taffeta lining is shiny and crisp. The draping jersey overlay that wraps over the shoulder and falls free in the back is in beautiful NM condition also. It has no holes, no stains or discoloration. It is very brightly colored, very very pretty! Both sets of snaps are present and are tightly sewn in place at the right shoulder. The YKK zipper is present at the back side of the dress and is in good working order. The black and white Barbie tag is firmly sewn in place. The hooded red georgette cape is also in NM condition with no holes, no snags and no damage to it. The beautiful red color is very bright and the cape is very very clean and crisp. The single "diamond" is present and securely attached at the chin of the cape. The pretty red closed-toe heels are in great condition with no splits or cracks, no chew marks or any sort of damage.
