PRESENTING A VINTAGE HARD TO FIND BABY WITH ROBE AND BASSINETTE FOR BARBIE'S BARBIE BABY SITS #953 1963-64 PLEASE COMPLETELY READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING This item is at least 45 years old, in used, played with condition and as such IS BEING SOLD AS IS This is for the baby, robe, liner and bassinette only PLEASE SEE PHOTOS AS THEY ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THIS DESCRIPTION This IS the correct baby for Barbie Baby Sits. It matches the one pictured in Sara Sink Eames Barbie Fashions Vol. 1 guide book The baby is made of two different kinds of plastic. The body is a hard plastic and has stayed a pink color but also has some yellow staining on it. The head, arms and legs are made of a soft plastic which have darkened some over the years The Baby's face paint is mostly there with a piece taken out of the right eyebrow and all but a couple of eyelashes rubbed off. Cheeks are lightly pink and I see a little bit of color around the mouth creases. The eyes are still nice with black pupils, blue irises and the whites all there There is a hole in the mouth for the set's baby bottle The head turns easily left, right and all the way around The yellow paint on the hair is still mostly there though there a lot of places where it has come off. THE YELLOW PAINT WILL RUB OFF IF YOU GET IT WET. I tried to remove a soiled spot and instead of cleaning it, the paint rubbed off The arms look good and rotate completely around. Also a little stiff The legs both have several dark dots near the hips. Also you can see the part of the legs that insert into the hard plastic body. The legs may have been taken off and put back on at some point in time. The right leg is looser than the left one but both rotate all the way around The baby robe is a cotton material that is white with pink polka dots on it. The material is soiled and yellowed with age. There looks to also be a stain on the back There is a trim of blue cording around the cuffs and the entire edging of the robe. Slight fraying of the ends of the trim cording where they are sewn together The bassinette is in good shape, clean and has some fading of the pink color in various places to a whitish color. There is a small dark mark on the bottom The flower print liner has yellowed a little with age and has a light brownish stain on it near one end. Lace edging intact around edges I am not the original owner of the item and no not know the history of the item. I try to describe the item and it's condition to the best of my ability, using reference books and information from the previous owner if available. I am not a Barbie expert, just an amateur collector. Additional information is always appreciated. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE THEM.
