Vintage Bartlett Spring Mineral Water Metal Tray Search This a beautiful vintage advertising metal tray. The Bartlett Spring Co. was founded in Northern California about 1868. This tray was made sometime between then and 1915. It is quite worn with scratches, a couple dings, spots, fading at the top by the G & the M, and by the victorian ladies left elbow. All this only adds to it's authentic charm. The bottom reads "From Bartlett Springs, Lake Co, Cal.--Bartlett Springs Co. General Office No. 2 Sutter Street, San Francisco." The actual mineral spring was located in Lake County, and the bottling plant was in San Francisco. Traveling from S.F. to the spring took 8 hours to 13 hours by using a combination of railroad, stage coach, ferry or steamer.
