This listing is for the following:
Some very good friends of mine bought this BASF quarter-inch tape-splicing kit in Europe in the late 'fifties or early 'sixties. It has never been used, is in mint condition and is absolutely complete. It was probably purchased in West Germany, as the box and instructions are printed in German, with English, French and Spanish following (the instructions are German, English and French only). Although the cutter box is in perfect condition, with none of the contents even opened, the paper box it comes in is only fair-to-good and has Scotch-tape repairs. I haven't seen a single one of these on American eBay, only in Europe. Includes splicer, three quarter-inch color-coded rolls of leader, a roll of 11/16" white cellophane tape, two packets of self-adhesive labels, a white Faber-Castell marking pencil, two packets of quarter-inch strips of aluminum-colored material 5.875" long whose purpose is unknown to me, and complete instructions (stored under the base). A very nice piece for the analog audiophile who has everything.
