This tea set belonged to my mother, a Navy nurse during the WWII e ra. In the 1950s she was stationed in Bremerhaven , Germany -- which is where she acquired this lovely fine porcelain tea set. It has spent mo st of its life in a china cabinet... I dou bt it has ever been used. (Not that I can remember, anyway). The set comes with a teapot, lidded sugar bowl and crea mer, and each is marked Bava ria with a crown. The milky porc elain is outlined in gold. The teapot is approx. 8-1/2" tall and 16" around. The inside is spotless. There is slight wear to the inner rim of the lid and some bottom shelf wear on the pot. There are tiny dark spots on the "belly" of the pot, but they feel like they are under the glaze. The creamer is in near mint condition. It is 3-1/4" tall and 8 " around. The sugar bowl has slight wear to the inner rim of the lid. The inside is clean and there is minimal bottom shelf wear. It is 5" tall and nearly 14" around (including the handles). I did a careful inspection and could not find any cracks or nicks evident. Pre-packaged weight: 2 lb. (This is just a pre-packed estimate; careful packing with lots of big bubble wrap will bring up to 3-4 pounds). Any questions or need more photos? Please ask !
