From the estate of a vintage Barbie collector. This unusual set of dolls (one white and one black) is as follows: They both come with thier original boxes and were placed in each without ties or ribbon, just tissue paper. On front they say "Bell Doll" "Designed exclusively for Telephone Pioneers of America" and at bottom is the Bell or ma Bell logo. On the bottom and top flap is listed the description of the dolls "Black doll with Black Hair" and "White doll with Black Hair" and on back at top is the Telephone Pioneers of America triangular logo and at bottom is the "Made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong" designation. The dolls are 15 inches tall and are exactly alike, one being white while the other black. The both have black hair boufants with longer hair in back (like Mrs Bradys at end of show!) and come identically dressed in jeans, boots, the blue zippered jackets with blue and gold stripes (of Telephone workers of the period) with a black utility belts carrying the old style orange phones they used to test the lines with! Underneath the jacket is a white t shirt with the Bell telephone emblem in blue. The dolls have pretty faces with the white doll having bright blue sleepy type eyes, applyed actual eyelashes, bright blush and lips, bright blue eyeshadow and nice eyebrows.
