This is a really cool, vintage phone. It is a Bell System rotary wall phone and it is black. The label reads "Bell System made by Western Electric." I don't know if it works because it apparently is supposed to be wired directly into the wall. It is very heavy and seems to be intact. The rotary dial works fine. It does have some normal scratches and wear for its age but is in nice condition with no damage that I can see. Just imagine this cool phone on your wall!!
